I shall once again be joining Manaton Makers in The Barn Gallery at Ullacombe Farm Shop, where we will be exhibiting and selling our work as part of Devon Open Studios.

We have now been part of Devon Open Studios for 10 years.  Our group this year is comprised of:  Jan Baker (basketmaker), Kay Balmforth (hand weaver), Cat Frampton (textile art/jewellery), Anne Moreton (printmaker), Sarah Poat (botanical art), Janet Downes (silver jewellery), Abi Higgins (ceramicist) and John Rockey (woodturner).

This is an opportunity to meet the artists and watch them at work and then – if you wish – to come away with a handmade piece of art work, having learnt a bit about the story behind it and the skills that created it.

Ullacombe is between Bovey Tracey and Haytor, in a beautiful moorland setting. There is also the added incentive of a very good farm shop and cafe just across the yard from the barn serving delicious breakfasts, lunches, teas, coffees and cakes.
